The Sebastian Foundation

The Sebastian Foundation was formed in 2013 by Guy and Jules Sebastian and takes a proactive, early intervention approach to youth mental health.

The Foundation aims to give young Australians the resilience and confidence they need to grow and be their best.

The primary focus of our work is funding schools to implement a unique in-school wellbeing program called Open Parachute. This program teaches students the mental skills they need to cope with the many challenges they’ll face, particularly during adolescence.

Our Philosophy

We are focused on funding work that leads to real results. We are lean. We have one part-time staff member, with no office or associated overheads. And we embrace the voluntary input we receive. Our work is tangible and measurable, and we quantify the impact our generous supporters are enabling. Our work comes straight from the heart, based on genuine passion. Our logo reminds us that each young person is unique, and each deserves a loving, supportive foundation to live their best life.

A note from us

We often have moments where we sit back and look at just how fortunate we are to have been able to do the things we do every day.

But not everyone has it that way. It's always been our dream to start a charity so that we can help others who haven't had a great run in life whether that's through hardship, illness or other problems.

As humans, we have hopes and dreams for our families and loved ones, and our heart beats for goodness, hope and prosperity for them. Our focus is people. Our love is people. We want to see the need and meet the need.

The Sebastian Foundation prides itself on being a charity with low overheads meaning the bulk of your donations go directly to those who need it most.

We want to help Australia’s young people and families in any way we can and we hope you join us in our mission.
