Putting the heart in The Hub

There's a little corner of Maroubra in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs that over-indexes in calls to 000, domestic violence, drug and alcohol issues, and all of the societal measures that you don't want your area to over index in.

A number of local and state governments and support services have come together to plan The Hub at Lexo, a community centre to provide support to all the residents nearby with an aim to change their quality of life today and into the future.

The residents will be able to access support services that will be both run out of this hub, and in the hub.

With thanks to our friends at Freedom Kitchens, we were able to give The Hub a beautiful kitchen in which to make their cups of tea, run workshops and facilitate community services from, to do our part to making a difference in the lives of these vulnerable people living in our own backyard.
