“Families around the world have supported me and my music and have left their mark on my life. So, I am honoured to be involved with the Sebastian Foundation and their focus on supporting the hopes and dreams of families that need it most”
Sam Moran became the Yellow Wiggle in 2006. Since this time, he has toured the world extensively in arena tours as the lead singer of group.
With 2 ARIA awards under his belt, and receiving his first solo nomination for ‘Play Along With Sam’ in 2013, Sam also continues to appear on television in over 100 countries. To children and families everywhere, Sam is one of the most recognisable, trusted and liked characters in the world of entertainment.
As a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador, Sam visited children’s hospitals throughout Australia, the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Ireland. Today Sam continues to offer an ongoing support to a large number of children’s hospitals, regularly performing and appearing in children’s wards.
In October 2013, Sam was involved in the launch of ‘Play Therapy Week’ at Westmead Children’s Hospital, a new form of therapy utilised in treating terminally ill children who spend a great deal of time in hospitals instead of at home. Sam has also offered huge support to the Clown Doctors during the course of his entertainment career.
In 2013, Sam is thrilled to represent the Sebastian Foundation as ambassador, which follows his earlier announcement as the national ambassador to Variety, a national not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
