Why?
- Suicide is the leading cause of death of young Australians.
- Over one third of deaths in young Australians are due to suicide.
- 2 in 5 young Australians experience mental health issues. This has surged by 50% in the last 15 years.
These statistics are frightening. Only a proactive, early intervention approach will create generational change.
How we help
We support schools to implement Open Parachute, a unique in-school wellbeing program tailored for each year from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Using real stories from peers it teaches students the psychological skills they need to cope with the many challenges they’ll face throughout adolescence. And it works!
